I often get requests on showing more food related videos/pictures/posts, and you guys want to see what I eat in a day. Food is a huge passion for me. I feel that most people think that in order to eat “clean” and “healthy”, you have to eat the same thing all the time and it doesn’t taste anything. At least for me, that’s TOTALLY wrong. I love food, I live for food and I really enjoy eating. Aaaaand, I like it when it tastes a lot.
As you will see in the video, I usually eat 5-6 meals per day. On a rest day like this one, I raise the amount of fat a little bit, but otherwise it’s almost the same. I don’t count macros and calories or weight my food, since I know my body very well from the time that I was competing, when counting and weighting was something that my life evolved around a lot.
There are a few things that I’d like to point out about this.
When you have a lifestyle like mine, where you train a lot, you eat in a certain way and you’ve set up a goal for yourself to reach, which in my case is fitness-related, you face a lot of stress around these topics. Girls (mainly, but also men) are stressed out about reaching the body of their dreams, and feel the need to control every tiny little bit of everything. How many calories, how much it must weight, the right amount of this, the right amount of that… I get that, I’ve been there myself, and I don’t say that it’s not important to eat right. But in order to not get exhausted from this, and in order to still keep your body working with you, not against you, you need to ask yourself the question why. Why are you doing this? And, if the answer is that it makes you happy and is a huge passion for you (which I hope the answer will be), ask yourself then, why would you do something that stresses you out? If counting, weighting, controlling everything stresses you out, quit it. Listen to your body instead, become best friends with it, and ask it how do you feel? That’s the best dipstick you can get.
Also, the thing with methabolism. My body, my best friend, tells me when I should eat. I get really hungry every third hour, because that’s the way I’ve taught it by eating that often every day. And I really like it. If your body, like it is for some people, turn off the ability to feel hunger, and you eat just a small small amount of calories every now and then, in order to reach your goals and nothing happens… Guess what? That’s your methabolism turning off. That’s your body not answering you. That’s your body not being your best friend.
Remember that guys, make your body your best friend and work together instead of against each other. That will help you reach your goals much faster.
