Have you ever tried working out with the t-u-t method? I did, and it reeeeallyy burned and gave me pain in my back for days!
The method I’m talking about is called time under tension, and is basically about for how long you’re keeping your muscle under tension – how long you are working with the muscle in an exercise. I think it’s quite common that while working out, you almost swing and throw the weights upside down, and then raise the amount of reps or the amount of sets. You don’t hold through the hardest part for that long, you just complete the exercise as fast as possible, and do it more and more times, or with higher weights. That’s not the way to reach the best results!
When working out with the T-U-T method, the workout is not based on the amounts of reps, sets, frequency or volume, it’s based on for how long your muscle is under tension.
Watch me do this and explain it further in my back workout below! I also show the right way to perform the lat pulldown, since that is veeeery important when doing this, and every time.
